Which CBD is right for me?

Navigating the world of CBD

Since CBD products first started making a mainstream appearance, in 2018, the popularity of the non psychoactive, cannabis derived chemical has soared. The market has now been flooded with such a vast array of products that buyers are often faced with a ‘choice overload’, making it increasingly difficult to know where to even begin.

Many CBD websites offer hundreds of different brands and options, leaving many potential CBD users totally lost when it comes to choosing which products will be most beneficial for them.

At Greenhaus we have instead chosen to carefully hand pick a small selection of what we consider to be the best CBD products on the market. Through meticulous research and testing, along with detailed product write-ups, we will be offering a premium CBD range that can be easily matched to your own medical needs.

There will still be a number of different CBD products available, including isolates, broad spectrum, and full spectrum, distilled CBD. The difference between the three comes from the isolation of just CBD, or alternatively the retaining of several of the other hundreds of chemicals found within the cannabis plant.

CBD Isolate

CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD extract available on the market. As its name suggests, CBD isolate is an extract, where CBD has been almost completely isolated from the rest of plants’ natural compounds, leaving a crystalline or powdered product that is both over 99% pure and devoid of any distinct smell or taste. The biggest benefit of CBD isolate is that it is a stable product that can easily be mixed with a range of other products such as edibles, creams and oils without adding the strong, earthy taste often associated with hemp products. As there is no THC at all in the product it can be comfortably used by customers who may have to undergo random drug testing.

Broad Spetrum CBD

Broad spectrum CBD, removes THC from the hemp plant, whilst retaining many of the other cannabinoids, proteins and terpenes that are argued to be essential in retaining the full benefits of the cannabis plant. Broad spectrum CBD, by comparison to isolate, usually contains as little as 50 – 70% CBD, with the other 30 – 50% comprising the different natural compounds, which work synergistically to enhance the medical benefits of the oil. Broad Spectrum CBD should contain no THC and so will not have any psychoactive effects.

Full Spectrum CBD

Full Spectrum CBD is touted by many as the most effective CBD solution on the market. This extract retains all of the chemicals available within the cannabis plant, including THC. Medical evidence suggests that greatest benefits from cannabis are found when all of the naturally occurring chemicals within the plant are used together, as nature intended. The majority of full spectrum extracts are made with hemp, which contains less than 0.3% THC. This means that the extract will also contain less than 0.2% THC, making it both legal and non psychoactive. The major drawback of full spectrum CBD does however also come from its THC content. Heavy use of full spectrum CBD extracts could show up in drug tests, meaning it is not a feasible option for every customer.

Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum and CBD isolate all have a wealth of benefits. Over the coming weeks we will be bringing you more information on which type of CBD is right for you. We will also be featuring articles on both the best isolates and distillates currently on the market, allowing you to easily navigate the world of CBD.
